Theory11 – Cookie Cutter By Dan Sperry Review

Award winning performer and creator Dan Sperry presents his delicious take on the classic Russian Roulette routine. A razor blade is placed in one of four Oreo cookies chosen by a spectator. With your back turned, the cookies are mixed, and in a twisted display of clairvoyance you are able to accurately determine which cookie the blade resides in.

Time tested by Dan Sperry for safety and simplicity, but strictly intended for those over the age of 18, only. Don’t want to use blades? No problem – Cookie Cutter can be performed with anything – a coin or even a torn corner inside the cookie as a card revelation. Over 20 minutes of detailed instruction. Safety first – this effect is intended for adults, only.

THE REVIEW:

What you will need:

Oreos and the object you wish to stick into the cookie.

Method/Difficulty:

The method for this is surprisingly easy. However you are still dealing with objects that should not be loitering around your mouth so it is strongly encouraged that you practise the effect thoroughly. The element of danger is real especially if you decide to use razor blades. While I may sound like Captain Obvious, but PLEASE do not attempt this trick if you are going to drink

Practicality:

No gimmicks are required YAY! Angle is not an issue for this effect. It can also be performed anywhere as long as you have Oreo cookies and the item which you wish to insert into the Oreo cookie (eg: coin, razor blades etc).

Overall:

I learnt something new from this effect and had a glimpse into the wicked mind of Dan Sperry. I like it due to the impromptu nature of the trick. Quite a disturbing effect especially if you feign that you were cut by the razor.

Recommeded for: Freaking your friends out

Not recommended for: Performing this before a meal

8/10 (Good Stuff!)
