Theory11 Freebie!

Last week at theory11, Jon Bayme put up a T11 1-on-1 video teaching the classic color change and probably the most commonly used color change in magic! The Erdnase Colour Change.

Just do a youtube search and up comes hundreds of video performances and even tutorials! However, majority of them butchers the trick. I’ve seen great and many innovative color changes using the Erdnase method as a base, but other than that, most amateurs just do not practice enough before performing this trick. So much so that this color change has commonly associated with amateur magicians!

Jon was really nice to put up his version of the color change on T11 free! (Yes wohoo!) In the performance video he was really smooth coupled with some subtleties, it was amazing, definitely one of the best I have seen so far.

I’m sure this video would be beneficial to all magicians out there. Be it to brush up on your basic sleight or beginners that want to get your foundations right. The video comes in a bite-sized package that is about 9 minutes long, and covers about everything you need to know to do a good color change. I highly recommend you to take a look at it.

Anyways, having the best method in the world is useless if you do not practise. So to all the magicians there, download this video, grab a deck of cards, if you haven’t a deck in your hands already, and start practising!
