Merlin Awards /Sexy Magic / Urban Illusions @ St James Power Station!

Thor & I were at the Merlin Awards! Here’s a quickie on what happened…

We got sneak peeks of what we can expect in their week-long illusion show when it debuts in January 26!

We are really excited to catch the 360 sawing illusion so up close! The first time we saw it was during the Impossible Record and it was the last illusion they performed. We managed to catch it in its entirety for the first time! =D

The Merlin Awards was presented about midway through the show. Giving away the award was Mr Tony Hassini, the president of the International Magicians’ Society. He flew it from New York just for this! If you missed it, catch it here!

The “Human Light Tunnel” & “Shadow Vision” illusions! Omg its crazy, JC was impaled with light tubes and underwent a series of extreme human body contortion. What I love about his illusions are the modern look and edgy designs which gives off a refreshing vibe and stirs up the audiences’ interest. Very “Urban” illusions indeed!

Readers will find the new venue more spacious in terms of width. The comfort of the seats are however debatable. The performance was carried out in a free-standing club-style setting.

What can we expect when the full show runs in January? I guess we’ll be there to find out!
