Mr John Teo is currently the president of the IBM Singapore 115 and he has been a member of IBM since 1981. He was conferred the Order of Merlin having been in the organization for 25 consecutive years. That was in 2006 and John is still going strong!

Despite being a part-time magician, John is presently a free-lance trainer and consultant.  He is also very active in the local magic scene. From holding the position of president in IBM Singapore to making public magic performances such as Magic Day, John has definitely applied the principles of magic to everything he does.

He creatively uses magic in his management training workshops to effectively bring out important learning points for his participants in a fun way. As much as he does all forms of magic from gospel magic to children’s parties, his favourite category of magic and probably his strongest would be mentalism.

He is frequently invited to judge international magic competitions held in Asia; John’s in-depth knowledge and performance of magic is well respected by magicians internationally.

John is also interested in the creation aspect of magic. He has also written articles on magic and competed in various competitions generating several original magic effects.. Many of them have been published in international magic periodicals such as The Linking Ring, Abracadabra, Magigram, Chicanery, etc.

As John said while we we talking to him, his ideas are sparked off from other ideas as he finds inspirations from pre-existing concepts to create a modified or even brand new ideas.
